Privacy Policy
EvaluBot is built to read your Discord server so it can describe it back to you. This policy explains what it stores, what it never touches, and how you stay in control.
Who this covers
EvaluBot is a Discord server audit bot and a product of Digital Den. This policy applies to the EvaluBot application and the website at evalu.dev. By adding EvaluBot to a server or using its commands, you agree to the practices described here.
Read-only by design
EvaluBot has no code path that bans, kicks, edits, or otherwise changes a server. Permissions such as Ban Members and Manage Server are used only to read the ban list, invites, and integrations. The bot inspects your server and reports on it. It does not act on it.
Information we store
To run audits, enforce fair usage, and let you review your history, EvaluBot keeps a small set of records in a database:
- Audit usage rows, including the requesting user ID, the server ID, the sections requested, the report format, the resulting score, the number of issues found, and a timestamp.
- Limit overrides granted to a user or server, along with their expiry.
- Server installs, including which account invited the bot.
- Scheduled audit jobs that are waiting to run.
- Saved section presets you create.
Information we never store
- Message content. EvaluBot does not use the Message Content intent and does not read your messages.
- Report contents or files. Reports exist only as generated files on the host and are automatically removed after 30 days.
- Audit-log dumps. The audit log is read only to identify who invited the bot, and is not retained.
How we use what we store
- To generate the audit reports you request.
- To apply the free monthly allowance and the daily and scheduling guardrails fairly across users and servers.
- To deliver scheduled audits at the time you choose.
- To show you your own audit history and remaining usage.
- To operate, protect, and improve the service.
Retention
Generated report files are removed from the host after 30 days. Audit usage rows are retained so the per-server monthly allowance stays accurate over time. When you delete your data, your identifiers are removed from those rows while the per-server monthly count is preserved, so deletion cannot be used to reset a server's cap.
Your controls
EvaluBot gives you self-service commands to see and remove your data directly inside Discord:
- View exactly what is stored about you at any time.
- Delete your saved presets, limit overrides, and pending scheduled audits.
- Have your past audit rows anonymized so they can no longer be tied to you.
If you have a request that the commands do not cover, reach out through the support server and we will help.
Permissions and access
EvaluBot asks for up to five read-only permissions, none of which is Administrator. Every permission is optional. If you decline one, only the related section of the report is limited, and the report says so inline. You can review or change these permissions in your Discord server settings at any time.
Third parties
EvaluBot runs on the Discord platform and reads server data through Discord's official API, so your use is also subject to Discord's own terms and privacy policy. Data is processed on the infrastructure that hosts the bot and its database. We do not sell your data or share it for advertising.
Age
EvaluBot is intended for Discord users who meet Discord's minimum age requirement. Do not use the bot if you do not meet that requirement.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as EvaluBot evolves. When we do, we will revise the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the bot after a change means you accept the updated policy.
Contact
Questions about privacy or your data are welcome. The EvaluBot support server on Discord is the only support channel, so please raise privacy and data requests there. You can also read our Terms of Service.
